What you need to know to submit a session proposal:
1. MAP will only accept session proposals online.
2. The session proposal process is highly competitive. The committee looks for proposals that are timely, relevant, cutting edge, well thought out, and highly applicable to planning commissioners, professional planners, township and city officials, and zoning board of appeals members.
3. Handout Requirements
Our members have indicated that resource materials are important to them. Therefore, anyone who is selected to present at the conference will be REQUIRED to submit substantive handouts.
Handouts can be a minimum of one page, not to exceed 12 single sided pages. A copy of a PowerPoint presentation will not be accepted. Speakers who do not provide handouts will not be selected to present at MAP future conferences, programs.
Handout materials shall be prepared in a electronic format at a size of 8.5 by 11 inches.
August 25, 2008 - Final handouts due to MAP office.
4. All presenters must register for the conference.
