Recognizing the importance of educating citizen planners about zoning and planning, a natural alliance was forged several years ago to advance the idea of training and education for elected and appointed officials.  CPP has continued to use MAP's Basic Training workshop materials as part of their overall training efforts, and during the 2006 - 2007 fiscal year we expanded our partnership agreement to include cross promotions of our respective training programs.

 

There are many thousands of local planning and zoning officials needing education, information, and resources, and various entities available to provide such training.  The most important result is an increase in the number of informed officials, and teaming up with MSUE allows planning and zoning experts to reach many more officials.
