WASHTENAW COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND ENVIRONMENT -
PLANNING SERVICES INTERNSHIP AVAILABLE
The Washtenaw County Department of Planning and Environment is seeking part-time (12-15 hours per week) paid intern beginning immediately. This position is available to an undergraduate or graduate student in GIS, Urban and Regional Planning, Landscape Architecture or a related field. While GIS experience is a plus, all interested individuals are encouraged to apply.
The position pays between $10.00 and $12.00 per hour depending upon education and experience.

Geography Major seeking internship in GR areaI am a senior at Grand Valley State University seeking a planning internship in the Grand Rapids metropolitan area for fall 2007 or winter 2008. I am a Geography major with a City & Regional Planning emphasis. I am also minoring in History. I have experience in many aspects of planning including; site plan review, master plans, charettes, introductory GIS, and community analysis. My personal interests are in site design and greyfield re-development. I am a creative, passionate, and organized person. I hope to utiliize these qualities and the knowledge that I have gained to help a public entity or private firm to accomplish their everyday tasks and desired goals.
