Call for Sessions

The Student Michigan Association of Planning (SMAP) Conference Committee is currently seeking session proposals for students and new professionals.  If you have recently studied abroad, finished a student project, had an interesting internship program, or are just beginning your career and you would like to share your experiences, submit them below!

Please direct any questions or comments to 2012 SMAP Co-Chair Isaac Gilman, isaacg@umich.edu

Deadline for session proposals: 11:59 p.m., December 15, 2011.

Session Category:

(please select one)

Please indicate the format for your session, either Traditional or Pecha Kucha.

Traditional format: Presenters will have 20 minutes to speak followed by a 5 minute question answer session. Pecha Kucha (Japanese for Chit-Chat) is a quick and fun style of presenting. Each person will present 20 slides and only have 20 seconds per slide to speak (the presentation will be on a timer). These slides should remain very visual. At the end of the Pech Kucha group session, all presenters will be available for questions.
