| | MAP’s Memorial Scholarship Program was created by Larry Bauman and Mike Banas in 1993 to honor their dear friend Mike Manore, a long time planning leader who had passed away. The Memorial Scholarship Program accepts member donations and sponsorships to perpetually fund scholarships for graduate and undergraduate urban and regional planning students in Michigan. The 2026 application is due by May 22, 2026, 11:59 pm.

| | The Metro Detroit Planners (MDP), the Emerging Professional Planners (EPP), and the Michigan Black Professional Planners (MBPP) sections of MAP are co-hosting a meet up on May 27, 2026 in Detroit.
The meet up is an informal networking opportunity intended to bring together planners and friends of planners for an evening of camaraderie, and to celebrate our profession. You’ll meet new colleagues, reconnect with old ones, and enjoy an evening of food and drink. You can learn more about MAP’s Sections, and maybe even join one!
