MDOT Advanced Training Wheels  Virtual On-Road Bicycle Facility Design Training

Sessions: 1 - 4 p.m.
Class 1: July 28 and 30
Class 2: Sept. 22 and 24
This six-hour virtual online course on the newest planning and design approaches for on-road bicycle facilities will be split into two days of three hours each. It consists of state and national guidance for on-road bicycling facility design and analysis of planning considerations.

National Experts:    Toole Design Group (optional question and answer session begins at
4:15 p.m. on day two)

Target Audience:    This course is for city, county, and Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) managers, engineers, planners, and officials; township and metropolitan planning organization staff; chambers of commerce; downtown development authorities; economic development partners; and other stakeholders.

Required Items:      Internet connection; Zoom software

Registration:              This course is provided free by MDOT.

Please RSVP by July 21 for July classes and by Sept. 8 for September classes. 
Class link will be provided after confirmation. 

 Virtual bike routes in coordination with City of Ann Arbor, Grand Valley Metro Council, the City of Grand Rapids, and Toole Design.
