Student Members

It’s easier and more affordable than ever for students and new planners to get started in APA/MAP. Membership is now free for any student enrolled in any degree program. "Free" includes APA, APA chapter (i.e, MAP), and AICP Candidate membership, along with up to five APA divisions. With free membership and lots of benefits, the American Planning Association is where you belong!

Join APA and MAP now!

Planning Student Organizations (PSO's)

Each APA-registered Planning Student Organization (PSO) elects a Student Representative to represent their fellow students on the Student Representatives Council (SRC) and act as a liaison with its Executive Committee and APA. PSO Student Representatives are elected by each school on an ongoing basis.

You must register your PSO Student Representative with APA each academic year so APA knows who is representing your school on the SRC.  Register here.
