The election results are in, and two incumbents have won reelection to the MAP Board:  Scott Kree and Mandy Grewal have been reelected to second terms on the MAP Board!  And please welcome Megan Masson Minock, AICP, consulting planner with Carlisle | Wortman Associates, Inc., as MAP’s newest board member, to a 3-year term.

Congratulations to the 2025 – 2026 MAP Executive Committee:  Christina Anderson, AICP, City of Kalamazoo, moves up to serve as President; Scott Kree, Oakland County, will serve as Vice President; and Keith Baker, AICP, City of Coldwater, will take on the role of Secretary Treasurer.  Shari Williams, Detroit Future City, will serve as the Past President; and Jill Bahm, AICP, Giffels Webster, will continue her final year as the Board Professional Development Officer (PDO). 

And we also welcome two new Student MAP Board members from Michigan State University, Ankita Shukla and Eli Fikkema, who will serve as co-chairs of the Student MAP Conference.   

We bid farewell to Mohamed Ayoub, City of Westland Planning Director, after 7 years of service, including as President, Trudy Galla, FAICP, and to 2024 – 2025 Wayne State University student board members Justin Curry and Shannon Gaffney. Justin now works for the city of Detroit, and Shannon continues her graduate planning studies at Wayne State University school while working at the WSU Law School.
