MAP's MBPP Speaker Series: Broadband and the Built Environment
2121 Inkster Rd, Inkster, MI
The Michigan Association of Planning's Black Professional Planners Education Committee has developed a thought-provoking educational series that brings together urban planning professionals, community advocates, and policy experts to discuss the most pressing issues impacting Black communities.
This series seeks to spark meaningful dialogue, cultivate connections across the state’s Black urban planning community, and explore how innovative urban planning strategies can shape more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable communities. Each session in the series will delve into key topics from housing policy to transportation, land use, and environmental justice.
Our next event is an engaging evening where we will explore the importance of fiber optics in developing smart cities and explore how broadband infrastructure can shape equitable development in Michigan communities.
