Michigan Infrastructure Council’s Asset Management (AM) Champions Program

Scholarship Deadline

This virtual program is a free, statewide training that equips infrastructure managers with the tools and knowledge needed to make better decisions for their communities. The program is also open to private consultants and contractors.  There are more than 800 graduates across approximately 70 of Michigan’s 83 counties.

The AM Champions program offers a flexible, 25-hour training curriculum designed for self-paced learning over a three-month period, allowing participants to integrate the material into their existing schedules. Successful completion of the program's prescribed coursework and live learning sessions culminates in the issuance of a certificate of completion. This certificate is formally recognized by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) for 2.5 Continuing Education Credits (CECs) applicable to drinking water operators, and by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) for continuing education credits for professional engineers.

The Michigan Infrastructure Council is accepting scholarship applications for Cohort 10. Applications are due by July 31, 2026. Space is limited, so early submission is encouraged.
