Helen Foss Outstanding Volunteer Award
Robert "Bob" Tasior
Oscoda Township
This prestigious award was established in 2004 to recognize individuals whose contributions to MAP go above and beyond the call of duty. Honorees are selected by MAP staff to acknowledge that the work of MAP is conducted through the contributions of our elite members.
Driven by a desire to revitalize the community, Robert took on significant projects, rewriting the Short Term Rental Ordinance and revitalizing two Business Districts, creating a path toward sustainable growth. Bob's contributions to Oscoda extended far beyond policy changes. Serving on the Oscoda Township Board, the Planning Commission, and the County Planning Commission, he brought innovation and collaboration to every initiative he touched. Bob was a frequent participant at MAP workshops and at the Planning Michigan conferences.
Sadly, Bob died before being able to receive his award. The State of Michigan and the MAP organization are better because Bob was involved.
